Brussels, Belgium: 26 July 2012: UNIC, the International Union of Cinemas, has today expressed its deep concern about the recent decision of the Spanish Government to more than double VAT on cinema tickets from 8 to 21 per cent.

Letter to European Ministers of Culture on the Protection and Promotion of European Cinemas
Brussels, 11.12.2012. UNIC, CICAE and Europa Cinemas sent a joint letter to European ministers of culture to draw attention to their shared concerns regarding certain European policy developments in relation to film and cinema exhibition.
