UNIC has launched three new initiatives to encourage closer links between the exhibition community and other stakeholders, from creators, content and technology providers, to suppliers, manufacturers and concession companies.

The three initiatives are the following:

  • The UNIC Innovation Lab examines how cinemas can reach out to audiences in innovative ways through the use of digital technology, mobile communications and social networks;
  • the Technology Group monitors newest technology developments around digital cinema, including short- and medium-term challenges for which practical solutions have to be found ;
  • the Retail Group looks at latest trends in retail and examines how exhibitors can upgrade and innovate their offer.

All three initiatives promote the exchange of best practices among exhibitors and with partners and encourage exhibitors to speak up with one voice.
