In 2011 UNIC relocated to Brussels and appointed a new executive team.
Jan joined UNIC in 2011 as CEO and was responsible for the organisation’s relocation from Paris to Brussels. He previously worked for two leading media industry consultancies in London and Brussels and advised the European Parliament as well as the European Commission on their future strategies to promote the European film sector. Jan also gained experience as a researcher and EU development manager with a German innovation agency and with a large telecommunications operator. He represents UNIC on the advisory board of the European Audiovisual Observatory and sits on the board of the European Digital Cinema Forum. He is also actively involved in several European Commission expert groups. Jan holds a BA from Liverpool John Moores University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
Julia joined UNIC in 2012. Previously, she worked for political foundations in Berlin and Rabat and completed internships at radio channel France-Culture and the European Parliament. Julia is a French-German bi-national and graduated from Sciences-Po Paris with a focus on EU affairs.
