The inaugural edition of UNIC’s Cinema: Digital Innovation Award, held on Monday 18 June in CineEurope, Barcelona was a success. The audience made up of over 400 stakeholders in the exhibition sector voted WeWantCinema, represented by Marieke Jonker from Amstelfilm, as the winner of the competition, to take home a €5000 cash prize sponsored by Orange.
WeWantCinema is the first European Cinema on Demand platform, already available in the Netherlands. The organizers congratulate Marieke and look forward to the next edition of what will hopefully become the yearly showcase of digital innovation in the exhibition sector.
