As is tradition, everyone in the cinema industry is in Barcelona in June! A blend of great networking, insightful panels and discussions, studio presentations and screenings, a cutting-edge trade show and loads of sun and Sangria on the beach – who can say no to CineEurope?
Together with Film Expo Group, we are preparing an exciting programme that will exceed your expectations! And we are delighted to already share some of the highlights of the show with you.
Monday morning will kick off with the business session “Re-Imagining the Big Screen Experience?” highlighting that we don't need to re-invent cinemas, but to continue to innovate to offer the best to our audiences. This will be followed by a highly anticipated Executive Roundtable exploring current and future developments of our industry. During the panel debate "We love the Big Screen - A cinema experience for all audiences”, scheduled for Tuesday, we'll talk content, community, experience and much more. Our long-term partners from Coca-Cola will bring their latest research both in terms of audiences’ trends and sustainability during their sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday morning, we bring you a new format for the focus sessions on the tradeshow floor. This will take the shape of an exciting series of quickfire presentations exploring innovation, accessibility, diversity, film theft to name but just a few.
In addition, our colleagues from the ICTA are preparing a series of sessions scheduled for Wednesday and exploring the latest news in technology.
The main Hollywood and European Studios will showcase their upcoming releases and the most innovative companies will present their cinema-experience novelties on the tradeshow.

We are also delighted to honour some of the CineEurope Award Winners. Anna Marsh, CEO of STUDIOCANAL, has been named the 2022 recipient of the International Distributor of the Year Award. Steve Knibbs, COO of VUE International, has been recognised as the International Exhibitor of the Year. Géke Roelink, Managing Director of Filmhuis Den Haag, will receive the 2022 UNIC Achievement Award and the gold awardees are yet to be announced. Huge congratulations to all!
